Farnam Street was my introduction to deep podcasts, and was once my favorite. As I’ve listened further and found other resources, I’m struck by how much FS is directed by survivorship bias and celebrity.
I’m seeking broader perspectives & analysis beyond “how I was successful”.
I usually listen to technology and comedy podcasts. I could do with more informative stuff. What are your favorites at the moment?
what other resources have you found? I’ve always enjoyed fs.blog far more than the podcast.
@joshuapsteele I think Ezra Klein does an amazing job getting deep with his guests in a productive and understanding way. I find the ones where he has views opposing to his (as many of mine would be) incredible conversations with deep analysis and back and forth. I think there’s a good model in how he has hard conversation and digs in on the key points in a gracious but challenging way.
@odd I really like Peter Attia drive for medical/health stuff. Ezra Klein for political philosophy. Long Now Seminars & Conversations podcasts for thinking strategically. Risky Business for infosec/cybersec.
Thanks! All added. I’ll check them out. My mind isn’t what it used to be, but I’ll try my best to soak it in.
