An Aside

I’m already seeing memes going around about “why didn’t they treat these terrorists at least as bad as they treated the civil rights protestors this summer?” And for good reason. The disparity is glaring.

But the difference isn’t just that these folks are white. It’s also because with civil rights and BLM protestors, the people in power didn’t care about making martyrs, because there were already plenty who have died for the cause. The movements ignite and reignite based on these deaths, as the injustices continue.

Governments are more careful about making fascist martyrs, because it give the fascists a case to “prove” their persecution complex.

This is just another sick paradox of fascist problems.
