My instinct with this quote is to feel "whoa, judgmental", but on closer inspection, Postman is defining sets of values, and leaving judgment to the reader based on their set of values.
(Also important to caveat that written and pictoral modes of communication can both defy the normative values of their medium, which IIRC is granted in this and Postman's other work.)
