@antonzuiker I think it’s probably slower than an ax, but safer for my back!
It works kinda like a carjack. You use the poles to jack the log into the wedge until it splits.
There’s different torque(?) on each handle…so one is faster and one is stronger. I use one to get it tight and then the other to pop the log apart.
I switch angles and sides to make sure I’m working different muscle groups.
@JMaxB yep! No gas or electric. Has an oil reservoir to keep it lubricated, but the work is human+lever+wedge. Simple machines win!
