Music

🎶 I find it interesting to look at which top artists don’t have a top album (and vice versa).

Any stand out in your own lists/data?

🎶 automatic loudness leveling is really helpful…

But what the heck are you doing Apple Music? You shouldn’t do this within an album playthrough. Awkward, esp. when there are transitions, preludes, and interludes.

I’ve never noticed another service do this wrong.

🎶 August Burns Red made a t-shirt about me.

    🎶 Did You Know?

It’s not officially Autumn until you’ve listened to Opeth’s Blackwater Park straight through.

🎶 Circle of Dust remixing Living Sacrifice, and Sanctum remixing Extol are likely to forever be the coolest and weirdest stuff to come out of the Christian Industrial/metal scenes.

(Honorable mention to Argyle Park, which is sorta like creating this vibe as it’s own project.)

Please recommend more albums like Yovel - Forthcoming Humanity 🎶🕊🏴

(Plex says BtBaM - The Great Misdirect is similar. It’s also a great album, but no.)

👑🎶 at an office with the monarch stuff on the TV and the funeral march really sounds like Williams’ Imperial March.

Did he know and do that on purpose?

🎶 Thank you to Plex + Tidal for putting this one back on my radar. I had 100% forgot about these beats.

🎶 Anybody know anything about this band?

There are apparently a million “vis-a-vis” bands, but I can’t seem to find out anything more about this one (including track titles). #hardcore #diy

🎶 This is the best track of 2022 so far and it’s from 2018: I Hate Models feat. Zanias - Walpurgis Night

(Kardashev’s Liminal Rite is still winning best album.)

    🎶 that checks out

At this point, approximately half of my tshirts are from silent planet. 🎶

🎶 Last year I “discovered” clipping. on Bandcamp and got their whole back catalog and listened on repeat.

This year it happened with @kardashevband, but at an even faster rate.

(Pic is of top artists last 365 days.)

Thinking about using these for my metal album 😆🎶

what even is a song? 🎶

I’ve encountered many tracks that challenged my perception of what a song is. If you ever thought “I didn’t know you could do that!”, I’d love to hear about it!

I’m working on a little something.

🎶 my favorite thing to do in PlexAmp:

    1. Play from the “fresh ❤️” list, which I’ve tuned to ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ songs that I haven’t listened to in 3 months.
    2. Jam the “+” on a handful of “related tracks” every time I’m really digging a song.

    🎶 Update:

    1. clipping. - rap
    2. Faderhead - industrial
    3. BtBaM - metal
    4. Circle of Dust - industrial
    5. Front Line Assembly - industrial
    6. Zao - metal
    7. August Burns Red - metal
    8. Underoath - metal

(note: these genres are very broad categories)

    🕊 Today’s verse is Romans 12:1-2, so….🎶
