RPG
- why itβs the most interesting d20 system
- why it hasnβt gotten the attention it deserves
π² #GaryCon Game 3
Our Red Markets GM didnβt show up (weather?) so I ran Isle of Ixx with my friends. They made it to Wrecktown and made a deal with Balthazar.
π² So, Ed Greenwood has a couple folks that are his photographers and videographers and they came with him to the Surviving Strangehollow get together, and I was sitting next to him, so I guess Iβm on a lot of film, now.
π² Game 2: Symbaroum
π² itβs on
Earthcrawl (DCC) funnel.
π² are you going to #GaryCon?
Letβs say βhiβ.
Iβll be playing lots of games that I donβt normally get to (like funnels or new-to-me systems) as well as hanging out with my friends who are promoting their new Kickstarter.
π² Lore Frog - Your TTRPG World’s Companion and Scribe
Seems nifty, but now that Craft Docs allows guest editors, I think I can just do this there for free (well, for βincludedβ).
ππ² Reading Whitehack again, so that I can hopefully explain:
π² I have two very nice RPG books I want to send to a good home, instead of HPB.
Dictionary of Mu by @Judd@mastodon.social . Very cool book but I have no interest in Sorceror.
Whitehack 2nd ed. notebook version by Christian Mehrstam. My fave d20 game, but Iβm on to 4th ed. & had multiple copies.
π² Reminder for self: bundles (itch, drivethru, etc.) come with the cost of getting added to all those mailing lists, and while it is possible to unsubscribe from them, there is an attentional/time cost to unsubscribe to each.
π² Stalk the Rushes is a solo game where you play a Great Blue Heron.
Sallyskin is a technique developed by swamp-dwelling kinesthetes, designed to help breathe even in the foulest of waters. #Lore24
π prepped my inspiration generator for #Lore24: todd.craft.me/lore24
π² Both niblings asked me to bring back Isle of Ixx when we visit for their birthday. Cool!
(Hereβs what happened so far: todd.craft.me/ixx)
π Work in Progress: the “start a session” procedure for my post-apocalytic science-fantasy card-based #ttrpg #gamedev
π² Just tried Dungeon Pages on the Kindle Scribe and it works great! (I expect the same would be true for Remarkable, large iPads, etc.).
What other Roll & Write games would you recommend?
(Boosts appreciated!)
π² I canβt remember who recommended this, but yes, check your Ollieβs for D&D stuff.
I found an item 95% off and got copies for my local gaming group. Itβs something usable for other games, too.
You are buried in litter from the mountaintop and forgotten.
π² First play of The Sword of the Bastard Elf ended poorly for me. π
π² Isle of Ixx: the story so far. (spoilers)
